Louisiana microbreweries gain sales at special events

Louisiana microbrewer permit holders can brew up to 12,500 barrels of beer and other malt beverages per licensed year. A Retailer, Class A permit also allows retail sales of those beverages for drinking on or off the premises. With both permits, microbreweries can sell their own beverages at special events using no more than 12 special-event permits. Each event permit must be issued in the same name as the microbrewer’s permit. Event permits must follow Louisiana Administrative Code Title 55, Part VII, Subpart 1, Section 323(B).
