Louisiana boards can charge online students

The law lets Louisiana public college boards set tuition and attendance fees specifically for fully distance-education programs and courses. It covers institutions managed by the Louisiana State University, Southern University, University of Louisiana System, and Community and Technical Colleges boards. The programs or courses must be undergraduate, graduate, or professional. Boards can set proportional charges for part-time students, summer sessions, and terms other than semesters or quarters. The law sets no fee amounts and does not require boards to charge these fees.
