Companies can cancel alternate names for $50

New Jersey limited liability companies (LLCs) can end an alternate business name registration before its five-year term expires. They must have stopped using that name in New Jersey. LLCs operating as residential landlords cannot end the registration early. Companies pay the State Treasurer $50 for each termination certificate they file. The law takes effect immediately.
