More community solar for New Jersey

New Jersey’s Board of Public Utilities must open registration for 3,000 megawatts of added community solar by October 1, 2025. This capacity is on top of earlier conditional registration goals. The Board must accept and approve registrations until that capacity is filled or December 31, 2029, whichever comes first. It must set solar energy incentive credits and guaranteed bill-credit discount levels to help fill the capacity by that deadline. The expansion creates more opportunities to participate, but the law sets no individual bill-credit amount or guaranteed household savings.
