High school courses for future Puerto Rico Police

The law creates high school programs for students in Puerto Rico who plan to enter the Police Academy. Students can start college courses in high school that count toward an associate degree. These credits help meet the university credit requirement to join the Puerto Rico Police after graduating from the Academy. The Education Department and the Puerto Rico Police set up the programs and can partner with the University of Puerto Rico, the Department of Justice, and other groups. Courses must meet standards from the Middle States Association or another U.S.-recognized accreditor.
