New certification rules for surgical assistants

Tennessee now names specific groups that can certify surgical assistants. If your credential is from a named group, it is clearly recognized. If it is from a group not named, it may not be recognized. The law also removes the old December 31, 2019 deadline in this section. These changes take effect immediately upon becoming law.
