More qualification options for Tennessee surgical assistants
Tennessee now recognizes American Board of Surgical Assistants certification for people seeking recognition as surgical assistants. It also recognizes the National Commission for Certification of Surgical Assistants and successors to both organizations. The law removes the December 31, 2019 cutoff for one qualification pathway, not all qualification requirements. These changes took effect when the act became law.
