Tennessee keeps certain agency rules active
The law keeps certain permanent Tennessee agency rules from expiring on June 30, 2025. It covers only rules filed with the Secretary of State on or after January 1, 2024. Those rules must have been in effect when this law took effect and scheduled to expire on June 30, 2025. They remain active until the agency repeals or changes them, or a later law replaces them. This extension cannot keep rules active if they conflict with another law, except the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act. The law took effect upon becoming law, continuing covered rules’ existing requirements and protections for affected people and organizations.
