Agenda rules now mandatory, more boards covered

The law makes the agenda rule mandatory for covered public bodies. It defines “local governmental body” to include city or county legislative bodies, planning commissions, zoning appeals boards, public utility boards, industrial development boards, and housing authorities. It also includes airport authorities, county election commissions, and city, metro, or county budget committees. Covered bodies must provide a meeting agenda as required by the law. The law takes effect immediately.
