Tennessee can deny or revoke filings or authority for cooperatives, corporations, LLCs, and limited partnerships, including out-of-state entities. This applies when the business is owned or controlled by a foreign government or person on the federal 'foreign adversary' list. The list is set by the U.S. Commerce Department (15 CFR 791.4(a) or a successor rule). Deals approved by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) are exempt. These rules are now in effect.
