Voting restoration requires 12 months child support

Tennessee changes its voting-rights restoration rules. To be eligible, you must have followed all child support orders for the past 12 months. This includes any orders to pay past-due support (arrears). If you were not compliant for that full year, officials can deny restoration of your voting rights. The law takes effect immediately.
