Peer-help path for doctor licenses

Tennessee medical boards can grant a license during an informal initial interview, paired with a private advocacy order. The order requires you to keep taking part in a board‑approved peer help program. The board tailors it to your current condition and how it affects safe practice, and it is not a license restriction. If you stop the required participation, you violate the practice act and can be disciplined. The order stays confidential and not a public record, unless formal discipline starts because you did not comply. This law is in effect now.
