School bus contractors lose immunity, need insurance

Local school boards cannot give government immunity to independent school bus contractors. If someone is hurt, they can sue the contractor directly. Every contract must set liability insurance limits required by law, and the contractor must show proof, like a certificate naming the school board as an additional insured.
