E-textbooks for school district virtual schools

The law requires the commission to develop a plan for electronic textbooks and materials for virtual schools run by local school districts. The commission must work with the Tennessee Department of Education and submit the plan to the State Board of Education for approval. If new laws are needed to carry it out, the commission must send the plan and suggested legislation to the General Assembly by January 1, 2027. If no new law is needed, the commission must put the plan in place by January 1, 2027. Families in district virtual schools may gain better access to digital learning resources.
