Later filing and fewer updates for solicitors

Professional solicitors now file campaign literature after the campaign, not before it starts. File within 90 days after the campaign ends. If the campaign lasts more than one year, file within 90 days after that fiscal year ends. You no longer must notify the Secretary of State within seven days when you change materials or send samples of those changes.

Wording change on materials to file

The law removes the phrase ", which is utilized in the campaign," from the description of required solicitation literature. This wording change may alter which materials you must file. It does not add new numeric filing rules.
