No cost bond to contest seizures

Beginning July 1, 2025, Tennessee changes civil forfeiture rules. You no longer have to post a cost bond to challenge a seizure. The law also repeals one subsection of the forfeiture statute. Those repealed rules do not apply to seizures on or after July 1, 2025. This affects people and businesses in Tennessee forfeiture cases.
