Monitoring requirement removed for boating tests
The law removes the word “monitored” from the covered boating safety test rule. That rule no longer requires monitoring of the test. This change took effect when the law became law.
Approved tests and fees for boaters
Covered Tennessee boaters must pass a safety test approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and the state agency. They must also get an agency certificate showing they passed. The commission sets the credential fee, which cannot exceed $15. It may also set a separate replacement-card fee, capped at $15. These rules took effect when the law became law.
