The law lets a district attorney bring in a prosecutor from another district to run a specific removal-of-officers case. The appointee can be that other district’s district attorney or an assistant. This can happen only if the other district’s district attorney agrees. It applies only to removal-of-officers proceedings under state law and only to cases the appointing district attorney is allowed to bring in their district. The law is now in effect.
