More Tennessee crimes count as racketeering
Beginning July 1, 2025, Tennessee expands which crimes can count as racketeering activity. The law adds organized retail crime and carjacking, while keeping robbery covered. It also adds possessing or using a firearm, including an antique firearm, during a dangerous felony or an attempted one. These changes apply to offenses committed on or after July 1, 2025. This expands the reach of existing racketeering laws, rather than creating new household payments.
