Stronger penalties for converter crimes

The law removes the limit that this catalytic converter offense is punishable only by a fine. Starting July 1, 2025, prosecutors and judges can impose penalties beyond fines for this offense. This gives law enforcement stronger tools to address illegal catalytic converter activity across Tennessee.
