Homeowners face deadlines to reclaim tax-sale property

The law applies to Tennessee tax-sale confirmation orders entered on or after July 1, 2026. Each property's reclaiming deadline depends on how long its taxes were overdue. Owners have one year to reclaim property when taxes were overdue for three years or less, and 90 days otherwise. The clock starts when the court enters the order confirming the sale.
