Property owners gain nearby sewer access
Effective upon enactment, covered Tennessee wastewater utilities must provide a connection when a property owner requests one. An existing qualifying sewer line must be on or next to the property. A gravity sewer line must be within a street right-of-way, public access easement, or public utility easement. A sewer force main qualifies if it can be accessed using technology designed for that use. The law sets no connection price or deadline.
