Tougher sentences for DUI-related vehicular homicide

Beginning July 1, 2026, courts must give tougher prison terms when a DUI and a vehicular homicide come from the same crash. The vehicular homicide sentence must be at least a Range II sentence. The judge can give a Range III sentence if appropriate. The judge cannot sentence below Range II.
