Standard consent records for Texas telehealth patients

Beginning September 1, 2025, Texas agencies regulating telemedicine, teledentistry, and telehealth professionals must adopt standard rules for patient consent records. The rules cover record formats and how long records are kept. They apply to consent for treatment, data collection, and data sharing. The rules must also address audio-only consent records, based on the appropriate standard of care.
