No more alienation of affections lawsuits in Utah

Beginning May 5, 2027, Utah ends alienation of affections lawsuits. You cannot sue someone for alienating a spouse’s affections. Utah courts do not hear these cases or award damages. This removes a risk for people who might be sued, but ends a way to seek money for these claims.
