More funding for Jordan River access

The state provides $2 million, one time, for Jordan River recreational access grants. The money is for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 and is managed by the Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands. Grants support projects that increase access or public safety along the river, including matching grants to local governments or the Jordan River Commission. The law also makes Jordan River project funds nonlapsing, so unused money stays available across years. These changes take effect May 6, 2026.
