New Chesapeake Bay farm advisory and planning help

The law creates a stakeholder advisory group for Chesapeake Bay agriculture. The two state secretaries run the group and review progress each year. The group must set up a process to help any operator with 50 or more acres make a nutrient management plan that meets Phase III goals on time. It must also develop a plan for livestock stream exclusion in the Bay watershed. These plans and results are included in the annual November 1 water quality report to the legislature. This section does not add new penalties or provide new funding.
