Reinsurance program stays under 2018 terms
Wisconsin keeps its individual-market reinsurance program run under HHS terms dated July 29, 2018. Before December 31, 2023, the insurance commissioner could not change, suspend, withdraw, or end the federal waiver unless the Legislature passed a law to do so. The commissioner could seek a renewal without substantive changes before that date unless lawmakers barred it. The commissioner must follow the timing rules in s. 20.940.
ID number rules for navigators and intermediaries
Individual navigators and natural-person insurance intermediaries must give their Social Security number when they apply or pay the annual fee. If they do not have an SSN, they must file a sworn statement on a Department of Children and Families form with the application and each annual fee payment. Navigator or intermediary businesses must provide their federal employer ID (EIN) if they have not given it before.
