New $75,000 business property tax break
Beginning January 1, 2026, the law exempts the first $75,000 in fair market value of your taxable business personal property from property tax in each county. This applies per person and per county. Business property means taxable personal property, not items for personal or family use. Your tax savings equal the exempt amount times your local property tax rate.
