The law treats sexual contact or sexual intrusion for money or other property as prostitution. Sexual contact means touching another person's intimate parts, or causing another to touch yours, for sexual arousal, gratification, or abuse. Paying, offering, or agreeing to pay for sexual contact or intrusion is also a crime when the facts strongly show that intent. Both crimes are misdemeanors: up to 6 months in jail, a fine up to $750, or both. This law does not apply to matters covered by W.S. 6-2-701 through 6-2-710.
County sheriffs must report to the Joint Judiciary Interim Committee by November 1, 2025. After that, they must report every year by November 1. Reports must list convictions under W.S. 6-4-101 and 6-4-102 in the county. Reports must also name any therapeutic massage businesses that closed because of convictions or charges under this law.
