Protection orders stay active during appeals
Beginning July 1, 2025, Wyoming protection orders for stalking, sexual assault, or domestic violence stay in effect during any appeal or review. This also covers appeals or reviews of decisions to modify or extend the order. The order remains enforceable unless a court issues a stay. A judge can pause the order by issuing a stay during the appeal or review.
