Abolishes General Grant National Park and adds specific lands to Kings Canyon National Park. The added area will be called the General Grant grove section. It includes the west half of section 33, the west half of section 4, all of section 8, the northwest quarter of section 9 in township 13 south or 14 south, range 28 east, Mount Diablo meridian, and the lands that were already in the old General Grant park, including all of sections 31 and 32 in township 13 south, range 28 east, and sections 5 and 6 in township 14 south, range 28 east. These additions keep any valid existing rights and are treated like the rest of Kings Canyon National Park. The President may, by proclamation, add more described parts of many sections in township 14 south, range 28 east and parts of township 15 south, range 28 east to the General Grant grove section. Any added land will follow the park’s laws and rules. The extension must not block the free movement of livestock or vehicles to and from nearby national forest lands, under regulations the Secretary of the Interior sets. Kings Canyon National Park will get and use all money that was or is appropriated for General Grant National Park, including funds before or after March 4, 1940.
