The Secretary may mark a State as outside the commercial wheat-producing area for a marketing year if that State’s wheat acreage allotment for a crop is 25,000 acres or less. If a State is so marked, farms there are not subject to acreage allotments or marketing quotas for that crop that year, and other States do not get larger allotments because of the change.
