In-home child care exempt from certification

Paid caregivers who watch children at a parent's home do not need state certification. This applies only if you care for no more than four children from multiple families, with no more than two under age two. The care must take place at the home of one of the children's parents or guardians.

Child care rules required, starts now

The Wyoming Department of Family Services must write rules to carry out this law. The law takes effect immediately. Qualifying caregivers and parents can use the new exemption right away.
