Agritourism added to recreation safety law

Beginning July 1, 2025, agritourism is covered by the state Recreation Safety Act. Farms and ranches that host visitors for tours, hands-on work, or hospitality now fall under the Act. Visitors gain the Act’s safety and liability protections. Owners may face new duties and liability rules when people visit. The law defines agritourism to include watching or joining farm work and related natural, historical, or cultural activities.
