The law treats volunteers and school district employees who serve as roadway crossing guards for a public school district as public employees under the Wyoming Governmental Claims Act. This changes how legal claims and liability apply to them. It applies only while they are acting as crossing guards on behalf of the district. The change takes effect immediately upon enactment under Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constitution.
