The law adds a new reason the Secretary of State can dissolve or revoke a business. If a corporation, LLC, foreign company, or statutory foundation gives false or fraudulent information to its registered agent, the state can cancel its authority or articles. The Secretary of State can act after a records check or after a notice from the registered agent. For LLCs and foundations, this also covers false info from members, founders, or authorized persons. The law is effective immediately.
