2023 CVD Review Rescinded — No New Fees

Commerce rescinded the 2023 administrative review of countervailing duties on aluminum wire and cable from the People’s Republic of China for the period January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. As a result, Tanghenam Electric Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. and other parties with no suspended entries during that period will not face new countervailing duty fees or changes for 2023; the rescission is applicable June 4, 2026.

Cash Deposit Rates Unchanged; Duties Assessed At Deposit Rates

Commerce stated that cash deposit rates will not change and that current cash deposit requirements remain in effect until further notice. Commerce will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to assess countervailing duties on appropriate entries at rates equal to the cash deposit rate required at the time of entry; Commerce intends to issue assessment instructions no earlier than 35 days after publication of this rescission notice (publication date June 4, 2026).
