Flood map updates may change insurance
If you live or own property in any community listed in the table (examples include communities in AR, FL, GA, IN, KS, MN, NH, OK, PA, TX, VA, WV, and WI), FEMA revised flood maps—such as Base Flood Elevations, Special Flood Hazard Area boundaries, zone designations, or regulatory floodways—and those revisions are being finalized on the dates shown in the table (for example, Apr. 20, 2026; May 11, 2026; May 22, 2026). Because the maps changed, your flood insurance needs or costs might change for new policies and renewals in those communities.
You have 90 days to ask for review
From the date of the second publication of the notice in a local newspaper, you have 90 days to ask the community to submit a request that FEMA reconsider the flood map changes. Any request for reconsideration must be submitted through the Chief Executive Officer of the listed community.
Where to find revised flood maps
Revised flood hazard information for each listed community is available online at the FEMA Map Service Center (https://msc.fema.gov) and at the community map repository address shown in the table, so you can compare the new maps with the current Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report.
