Bill Overview
Analyzed Economic Effects
3 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.
Green card and removal protection for three
This bill would let Maria Isabel Bueso Barrera, Alberto Bueso Mendoza, and Karla Maria Barrera De Bueso apply for immigrant visas or adjust to lawful permanent resident status. They would need to file the right application and pay fees within two years after enactment. If any entered the U.S. before that filing deadline, that entry would count as lawful for adjustment as of enactment, if otherwise eligible. The bill would also waive grounds shown in DHS or State Department records and require DHS to rescind removal, deportation, or inadmissibility orders tied to those grounds.
Relatives blocked from immigration benefits
This bill would bar the natural parents, brothers, and sisters of the three named people from getting any immigration right, privilege, or status under U.S. law based only on that family relationship. The restriction would take effect upon enactment.
Three-visa cut for birth country
If any of the three named people receive immigrant visas or lawful permanent residence, this bill would reduce by three the number of immigrant visas available to natives of their birth country. The three-visa cut would apply during the current or next fiscal year.
