Became Law
Creates a temporary duty suspension allowing duty-free import of retail infant formula through December 31, 2022. It adds four new tariff subheadings to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule for infant formula sold at retail, blocks any additional safeguard duties, quotas, tariff-rate quotas, and other import charges on those articles during the covered period, and requires importers to list the chapter 19 or 21 classification plus the new subchapter III number on customs entry documents for shipments entered or withdrawn for consumption within the specified dates.

It applies to goods entered, or withdrawn for consumption, from the date of enactment through December 31, 2022. During this time, these entries also avoid safeguard duties, quotas, tariff-rate quotas, and related fees. To claim it, list both the chapter 19 or 21 code and the chapter 99 code on customs entry documents.
