Required supply chain training for federal staff

The law sets a supply chain security training for federal staff who manage purchasing and risk. GSA, through the Federal Acquisition Institute, creates it within 180 days of enactment. The course covers current threats and vulnerabilities across the buying lifecycle, including IT and communications, and is updated as needed. GSA coordinates with security and personnel leaders and consults Defense, intelligence, and standards experts. Within 180 days after the training is developed, OMB issues guidance that requires executive agencies to use it and shares that guidance with legislative and judicial agencies. Agencies may fold it into existing training and get help identifying who must take it. GSA reports on implementation 180 days after the first course and then yearly for three years.
