Two-year window for radiation claims
The law shortens the time to file Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) claims to 2 years after enactment. Claims must be filed no later than 2 years from the enactment date. The RECA compensation fund also ends 2 years after enactment. This replaces the prior 22-year filing window. If you may qualify, file before the new deadline to avoid losing payments.
