Schools would use international antisemitism definition
If enacted, schools and colleges that get federal money would use an international definition of antisemitism. The Education Department would consider this definition and its examples when reviewing Title VI complaints about Jewish ancestry or ethnic traits. This could guide how antisemitism cases are judged on campuses and in K–12 schools.
Free speech protected, no new Education powers
This bill would not give the Education Secretary new powers. It would not change when harassment counts as illegal discrimination. It would not reduce any other legal rights. It also says First Amendment rights would remain protected.
