More rural outreach for small-business research grants
If enacted, this would push federal small-business research programs to do more outreach in rural areas. Within 90 days, SBA would require every agency that runs SBIR and STTR to conduct outreach in rural communities. The goal would be to boost applications and awards for rural small firms. This would not add new funding or change who can apply. Rural owners could see more info sessions, contacts, and help finding these grant opportunities.
