Who is covered by DOGE ban
If enacted, the bill would define who and what is covered by the ban. Covered entities would include DOGE, temporary DOGE groups, DOGE Teams, groups set up to carry out DOGE orders, and any successors. Covered executive orders would include Executive Orders 14158, 14210, 14222, and successor orders tied to DOGE. A covered individual would be anyone tied to a covered entity on or after January 20, 2025, including officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, and anyone who has ever led the group. These definitions would decide who would face the bill’s funding and equipment limits.
Block funding for DOGE and orders
If enacted, this would block federal money for DOGE‑related groups. It would bar funds to implement or enforce covered executive orders. It would block funds for any project started by a covered entity on or after January 20, 2025. Covered individuals could not use federal funds or federally purchased devices, or issue orders that are carried out with federal money. USDS would be the only exception: its funds could only support the same digital service work it did on January 19, 2025.
