Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.

Green card relief for Ivana Sifuentes Arbirio

If enacted, this would let Ivana Alexandra Sifuentes Arbirio apply for an immigrant visa or a green card. She would need to file and pay the fees within 2 years of enactment. If she entered the U.S. before that deadline and is otherwise eligible, she could adjust status as of enactment and be treated as having entered lawfully. DHS would have to cancel any removal or deportation orders and could not remove or deny her based on grounds in government records as of enactment.

No immigration benefits for Ivana's relatives

If enacted, Ivana’s natural parents, brothers, and sisters would not get any immigration rights just because they are related to her. They would need their own, separate basis under immigration law.

Cut one visa from birth country

If enacted, when Ivana is granted a visa or green card, the State Department would cut her birth country’s visa pool by 1. The cut would apply in that fiscal year or the next.
