Summary

Support dog pilot for CBP staff

If enacted, CBP would start a pilot to adopt dogs from local shelters and train them as support dogs. The Secretary of Homeland Security, through CBP, would have to launch it within 60 days of enactment. The dogs would support CBP personnel through CBP’s Support Canine Program. The pilot would end three years after it starts. The bill does not add new funding for this pilot.
