Protect Medicaid enrollment data from ICE

If enacted, CMS and HHS would not be allowed to share identifiable health information from Medicaid enrollment to enforce immigration laws. This would cover data collected to sign up for a State Medicaid plan or waiver. It would apply to disclosures to any person, including ICE, and would override the Privacy Act for this purpose. It would not change your benefits or payments; it only limits data sharing for immigration enforcement.
