Summary
Full-year contraceptive supply for enrolled veterans. This bill would require the Department of Veterans Affairs to offer a 12-month supply of contraceptive pills, transdermal patches, vaginal rings, and other contraceptive products when a VA medical provider prescribes them. Veterans must be enrolled in the VA annual patient enrollment system to use the option. Prescribers must inform veterans that they can elect a full-year supply. One-year birth control for veterans

Your contraceptive must be prescribed by a VA medical provider, who would have to tell you about the option. The bill would define contraceptive products to include drugs, devices, and biologics approved or cleared under FDA or Public Health Service law. The change would take effect upon enactment.
