Workers in multiemployer plans not auto-enrolled
This bill would let multiemployer retirement plans be added to the exception from automatic enrollment rules. If enacted, the change would amend the tax code text to name multiemployer plans alongside church plans. The rule would apply to taxable years beginning after December 31, 2024. If your job is in a multiemployer plan, you might not be automatically signed up for retirement contributions by default.
